Jody is the C.E.O and founder of his band Deep Fried Funk Band which is organized with the concept of perform- ing for local, national, and international artists. Deep Fried Funk Band has performed the White House, American Black Film Festival, the 2012 "Jazz in the Gardens" and with The Houston Symphony Orchestra where once again Jody was commissioned to be the Music Director for Gloria Gaynor, thus quickly gaining the attention of the media and making the morning newspapers.

Jody toured with the famous R&B artist, "The Clean up Woman”, Betty Wright, completed 4 successful tours with the disco king himself, KC and the Sunshine Band, and became one of the most requested drummers to perform and tour. He then earned himself 3 Grammy nominations with Joss Stone for the album "Mind Body and Soul", where his God-given talent landed him even more gigs and exceptional opportunities.
